  The location of this hotel is perfect, in the heart of Clovelly. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful with a lovely view of the sea from one side and the main street on the other side with a small balcony, it was also very quiet although it was busy. There was a nice selection of tea/coffee, biscuits etc in our r... vad folk säger » oom, as well as bottled water which was very welcome. The breakfast was lovely with generous portion sizes. We stayed at this hotel about 20 years ago - When an hotel gets it right it just does - and it's difficult to put into words but from the moment we received the welcoming check-in to the moment we left, the ambience made us feel comfortable and at ease. Great location of course. Breakfast was great - lovely friendly attentive service and obviously good quality local ingredients cooked beautifully. Overall, very good value for money.

  The location was spectacular, very quiet and tranquil with the sea lapping just feet away. There was a very friendly welcome throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and we were impressed that the hotel used local suppliers including Devon wines, real ales and locally caught fish. - Clovelly is incredible and ... vad folk säger » the Red Lion is breathtaking as it sits on the harbor at the bottom of the hill. The staff was friendly and fantastic and accommodated us with a meal upon our arrival even though it was after the scheduled time. Definitely worth a visit and my family and I would be happy to return any time.

  Derek and Debbie Arnold go the extra mile to make sure their guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our room was beautifully furnished and attention to detail second to none with flowers and a plate of fresh fruit as well as copiious amounts of tea coffee, milk and biscuits. Breakfast catered for all tastes and was perfectly cooked and served using good quality ingredients. Debb - Excellent family run hotel. Very clean and comfortable accommodation with tea, coffee, biscuits, fruit and toiletries supplied daily. Debbie and Derek are excellent hosts who are very welcoming and succeed in making your stay very enjoyable. Excellent choice of breakfast which is cooked to order. We will definitely stay there again. Area is beautiful and peaceful with Clovelly a very short drive away. Hartland quay has stunning views particularly if it's windy! Barbara and Martin Herts
