The staff were very friendly and helpful. I hadn't read my booking email properly and arrived earlier than my check-in time. I needed to get ready for a wedding and a staff member looked after me and allowed me early access to my room.
The breakfast was great!.

Our second stay at The Castle, both for our wedding anniversaries. Absolutely love it! Great atmosphere, staff, comfy rooms & amazing food! Would highly recommend & will definitely be staying again!.
Dining was an enjoyable experience with good quality food with prompt and attentive service.
The vegetarian breakfast was an imaginative alternative.
Super food , good old fashioned pub with open fire and comfy chairs.

The shower room sink had a big crack in it and the slate floor seemed a little worse for wear. I wasn't sure how to get the shower attachment to work.
There were tea and coffee facilities in the room but they were in the open wardrobe which was not great. There wasn't enough room for something long to be hung up in the wardrobe so I had to put my coat on a hook in the shower room. A hook on the door might have been more useful.
There was nothing that I did not like.
Room was a little on the tired side & there was a ton of dust behind the tv! The hair dryer could do with a clean too! Saying that, I had the best nights sleep, very comfy bed & a great shower in the morning!.
Only criticism is the lack of parking. Although the staff did come good on their promise of finding residents a parking space.
