The location is very picturesque and only a short drive from the airport and all the Manchester attractions. The accomodation itself has been maintained to a very good standard without losing it's natural feel. All the staff I dealt with are very friendly and make you feel at home using your first name at all times which I liked rather than an informal Mr this or Mrs that!! I only stayed for one night so only got to sample the breakfast which was lovely, you will not go hungary!! Tea and coffee.
alla recensioner » The room is tatsefully decorated and impeccibly clean. The bathroom is spacious and again tasteful design. The bed is so comfortable. We had out own sitting room and breakfast room all beautifully furnished to a very high spec. The farm environment is wonderful. The hosts are welcoming an dcouldn't do more for us. Sharon dropped us off and picked us up from the airport which I think was well above the call of duty when we had a 4am drive to the airport. i would highly recommend Birtles F. Beautiful B&B in an astonishing location. The farm is very beautiful and you can enjoy nice relaxing walks, long or short as it best suits you. Sharon and David are very kind and manage it beautifully, always ready to make you feel welcome. On a Sunday morning, they served me breakfast (a very nice breakfast!) half an hour earlier and drove me to the airport for my early flight. We were warmly welcomed into a family home. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the bedroom and en-suite bathroom very well appointed and little extras were much appreciated. Breakfast had everything one could wish for. A very pleasant stay and we would thoroughly recommend this b&B to others. Extremely friendly hostess. Interesting old farmhouse, in quiet rural area. Comfortable bed and lovely bedding. Maybe it would help to have better directions to the B&B on the website or Google Maps / iPhone Maps (both taxi driver who drove me there couldn't find it on the internet and didn't now where it was, even if the second one was from Ashley). A word of advice if you plan to spend a night there and are not travelling by car: don't take a taxi from the airport, because it can be very pricey. Everything was to our liking. The only thing we had any problem with was our satnav could not find the farm - so detailed directions would have helped. We had a little trouble finding the far. My sat nav didn't recognise it. Called the owner and she directed me. Once you know where it is very easy to find. Nothing. There was no indication of taxi fares from the airport to the house on Housetrip.....if the owner had not texted me to offer a transfer I could have been left with a taxi bill higher than the cost of the b&b!. Nothing. Nothing. small point - the road to the farm's a bit bumpy!. Nothing. a better route description required to find the farm. That I couldn't stay for longer!. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. The bedroom floor boards were a bit uneven (due to the age of the property) and when you walked on them it made the furniture doors rattle. Nothing everything was excellent. nothing. Nothing. rough lane in the dark. N/A.
