  I was pleasantly surprised that they had a 24-hour bar, which was a bonus for a late-night drink when we came back. This Express by Holiday Inn had improved the breakfast offering compared with other hotels in the chain. It was very pleasant. We were pleased that they had a direct link to taxis.   Due to a change in circumstances regarding attending an event in Widnes, we decided to make a return visit to the Cottage (previous stay in July 2013).   Coudn't really fault it for £45, had a large double room with an adjoining room containing two singles and a cot. Beds were comfy, pillows were really comfy (something I'm picky about).. Had a shower and a bath, both fine. Room was clean, Free Wifi (took a bit to get working but got there).. Free Parking. All in all great value for money and would... vad folk säger » use again. - The young receptionist was excellent, friendly, efficient and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed 19th Dec and arrived about 6pm if that helps to identify her.
