The concierge, both Mr Alp and Mr Jim were extremly helpful in providing plans and maps regarding the best in istanbul. The hotel is perfectly located in the European part but with Dolmus (6 euro) easy to go (direct) to the azian side. Opera is close to Taksim, where is the Hilton, Hiatt, .. all big famous hotels, BUT Opera (small scale) positions itself in the middle of all

We had a lovely stay at the Hyatt. The hotel itself was beautiful and the service impeccable. The rooms were very nice with everything you would need in a room. DIVAN Istanbul is perfectly central, 3 minutes walk to Istiklal Caddesi and a 8 minute walk to the Dolmabahçe Palace and Bosphorus. While a hotel in an ideal location is not necessarily a good hotel, this hotel is close to ideal as it is luxurious, affordable with friendly and helpful staff. Made our stay in Istanbul memorable. Moreover, it has a good gymn, indoor swimming pool and a spa.

First, the location. Excellent, almost at the Taksim Square. If you want to see the city I highly recommend it. The hotel is nice and clean with friendly staff. The suite is a small apartment with a small kitchen opened on the living room.
Much better than a classic hotel room if you intend to spend time in your room.
Location is right on Taksim place, in front of Gezi park and Divan hotel. The downside is that it is a bit noisy with ongoing roadworks and traffic at this time. -

Konak is within a short walk of the Istanbul Congress Centre as well as the subway, tram and Taksim Square. The staff were really helpful and there was usually someone around speaking English. Good breakfast and reasonable restaurant. Very nice bathrooms.
