  Mycket trevlig personal och bra frukost. - Hotel had been fully refurbished and was well equipped, excellent decor and very clean. Breakfast was good, which could be taken outside on the verandah. Parking is good - either right outside the hotel or in excellent secure garage about 100m up the road. Parking must be reserved as they only have 5 space... vad folk säger » s in the garage and at the hotel. Location was excellent - 5 mins to lake and centre. - The hotel not over expensive as it was modern, clean, efficient, with friendly staff and situated close to the railway station.

  Excellent location which would be extremely difficult to beat. Even staying in the old town (Citta Vecchia) of Locarno is not as convenient as Hotel Rio Garni.   The location and food quality - Great location, very central and near the station ,shops and restaurants. Rooms were of average comfort and cleanliness. Shared bathroom was very clean. Buffet breakfast was very good and served until 10am. The hotel restaurant served excellent menu at very reasonable prices.

  Everything!!!! We were treated like family from beginning to end, this was such a delightful stay. The rooms were beautiful and while the WCs and bathing facilities were on the hall, with only four rooms per floor, it simply felt like you were staying I someone's home. We were treated as family from start to finish. The rooms were spacious and bright with unbelievable views of the city, lake and mountains.   Lovely and welcoming accommodation in mountain village just outside Locarno. Expensive taxi ride there during the evenings unless you know the trick, which the owner will tell you about (but inly when you get there!). It needs to be on the website.   Jim was so great! He's such a nice person! He gave us some nice tips to hike in the Valle Maggia. Also he borrowed us some bikes to go to Ascona. The pool and the garden are so great! The rooms are very comfortable and the loft is an experience! He also served a nice breakfast. The hotel is very clean and comfy plus has perfect service and good location.
