  I highly recomend staying with the Amparo guest house. The staff is incredible, caring and will make sure your stay is as perfect as possible. We arrived quite late in the evening and only stayed for one night due to our flight leaving the next day. Upon arrival we were tired and hungry. It had everything you could possibly need and more. - I highly recommend staying at Amparo's, the hosts were really friendly and helpful providing good info on what to do and how to get around Basel. I was given a mobility/tram card to use during my stay in Basel which was really helpful. There are only two rooms sharing one bathroom and I was lucky enough to have the whole apartment to myself for a couple of days.   I was very nicely received by Karl Linder, who brought me to the appartment by bike.   Hotel was clean and modern with good sized rooms and excellent bathroom/shower. I liked the fridge in the bedroom as I could store snacks and drinks for two small kids - also the coffee section in the reception was useful. My son liked the billiards and table football ! For my liking the hotel bar could do with not closing at midnight. There is a good free Tea/Coffee making machine in the hotel lobby. I believe that this is a good hotel to stay at for both business and leisure, we would stay here again.
