  We were celebrating a 60th birthday, so wished to have a hotel near the centre, which was comfortable and if required use of the restaurant. We found the hotel to exceed our expectations for location, near to the ferry station or a short walk along the coastline to the City centre. The breakfast catered for all needs offering a choice of cooked and - Being at the coutryside in the center of Stockholm was amazing. You have to walk to arrive to the Palace? You don't go down a 20 floor hotel and are immediatly surrounded by shops? Who cares? You are 10 minutes away from all that, if you enjoy walking. If you like to ride a bike, you have your "private" garage next to the hotel, with 20 bikes ready to be rented; just buy the City Bikes card at the reception.   Great location with a superb view over one of the cities emblematic features (Gamla Stan). All the other main points of interest are within seconds distance. The accomodation is 5 star.   Fantastic location! Next door to Royal Palace, plus Gamla Stan is sightseeing object itself, so you can easily kill a day or half-a-day just wandering there. It is a budget accommodation of course, but it perfectly satisfies your basic needs - rooms are clean and comfortable, showers are decent, well equipped kitchens and nice light breakfast. Guests of all types make a really fun mixture, hostel is busy but not too noisy. - The atmosphere was really calm and friendly, informal yet absolutely non-intruding, creating instant "at-home" feeling. The price is rather high - The hotel's location is perfect in the middle of everything with a fantastic view on the Royal Palace. Tip: Instead of the buffet breakfast (and if you don't have the breakfast included in your package) eat a la carte in the bar with the view on the Palace - breath-taking!

  The location is perfect, since the boat is anchored to the shore of the Old City (Gamla Stan). I reserved a Superior Room, with a nice view on Skeppsholmen Island and the white vessel anchored there. My room had also a nice bathroom, much larger than I expected on a boat, with bath and a boat window (I guess this is a plus of the Superior room onl... vad folk säger » y). Last but not least, I found very romantic to sleep on a boat! - This was a good hostel, I did not mind the size of the room very much. The staff was very good, and I booked a room without a window, and then they were too nice to give me a room with a window! The view is very cool and the location is excellent, right by the old town and a short walk from the national museum and the important locations in Stockholm. The price is fair in an expensive city like Stockholm!
