The accomodation was basic but clean and everything worked. It was only a couple of blocks from the main Street....The Calle Real and there several Andalucian Squares nearby(try Hacienda Patagonia for the most delicious Argentinian beef dishes in Plaza Cruz Herrera). It was only about 10 minutes walk from the frontier with Gibraltar so it was ideal for visiting the Rock, I had trouble connecting to the wi fi but between my basic spanish and the staff members basic English he helped me get connec. alla recensioner »
Returning from India to London the difference in the standard of cleanliness was striking. I stayed here for two nights on return from Morocco and the cleanliness was jarring! Bathroom / toilets looked newly installed but they were just maintained to a very high standard. Room was very comfortable and located in an ideal location to explore La Linea de la Concepcion situated in a quieter street just off the town centre or to make the seven minute walk to visit Gibraltar.
I was visiting Gibraltar. The place is roughly 8min to walk from the boarder,10min from the airport and 5min from the beach. It was clean. Fresh, clean towels changed every day. The double room wasn't very big but a good size to stay. The bathroom was suited with boiler so there was hot water all the time. A very quite place surrounded by lots of cafe and restaurants. I do recommend it to anyone interested to visit that part of the world.
The pension lies ~10 minutes walk from the bus station & right by
the real gem of La Linea: several city blocks of a market for ordinary,
lower-class people. Probably the smallest, cheapest (€22) twin bedroom
with a minimal ensuite bathroom that I have, or will ever stay in. WiFi
only in the downstairs reception/ DIY-dining area with a tv, guest
fridge, but no kettle… so I boiled water for tea in the microwave oven
- it works.
The room was clean and comfortable with wash basin. The bathroom
opposite was also clean and there was always hot water. The downstairs
tv room had a fridge for storing food. Staff friendly..helped with
connection to wi fi. 10 mins walk to Gibraltar frontier, lots of
restaurants and tapas bars nearby. Check out Hacienda Patagonica in
Plaza Cruz Herrera (off Calle Real) for Argentinian meat dishes.
Easy to get from to Gibraltar...good shops in the area..very reasonable prices & very friendly staff..WiFi was available in the room making it very easy to get online & keep in touch with people...would stay again.
I had a really nice room, comfortable bed, enough blankets, a desk, washbasin and wifi that worked well. The shower was nice and hot and the bathroom nice and spacious.
Quiet neighbourhood, plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants nearby, good seafood and tapas moderately priced, walking distance from frontier and airport in Gibraltar,.
It wad great for the price, yes the 1 person bedroom is small but for the price there is not much to complain, it's right in the center of la lines.
close to city center. within a walking distance to Gibraltar border and main bus station. good value for money.
It was close to my walk to Gibraltar, shops for meals, supermarket and the bus station.
Good location, helpful staff, room was very clean.
Very cheap. Location is good to visit Gibraltar.
Nagyon sokat nevettünk, jól éreztük magunkat.
Good basic room with comfy bed and clean.
Very good hotel and staff.
everything.
location.
It is a very basic hostal but a good option if you are travelling on budget and you cannot afford to stay at the expensive hotels in Gibraltar. The hostal is only a 10-minute walk to the border with Gibraltar. The room we were given was tiny and smelled funny but otherwise clean and quiet. There is also a PC with internet which you can use in the lobby. Staff doesn’t speak English but seemed quite helpful. Generally, La Linea de la Conception is not a great area – it is completely different fro.
Very clean rooms and bathroom. Staff v friendly and helpful. On quiet street so not much noise which was great. Close to bus station and 15 mins walk to Gibraltar border. Good hot water in shower. Good wifi connection, worked in my room as well as downstairs.
It is very close to the border with lots of small cafes nearby. It does have publicly accessible PC in the lobby. For one night it's ok.
Owner was friendly and welcoming.
location.
It was a walking distance from the border with Gibraltar. Other than that nothing.
Cheap. Close to: Gibraltar, bus station, shops, cafes, beach.
I would have stayed another night or two but that's the luck of the draw when it comes to availability. Great place to stay!.
No reading lamp by the bed, so had to slog through the cheesier parts of
"Anna Karenina" in the well-lit bathroom while sitting on a
"rocking" toilet–unanchored to the floor. Noise at night
seemed to be coming from ancient ceiling-mounted fans in other rooms.
There were 2 remotes in the room, but all tv channels only showed
"snow.".
No complaints.
Maybe not enough ability to get good TV..
The cold and the stairs!.
Difficult to climb in and out of small bath to take shower.
No towels as far ad I saw.
difficult to locate. no internet / wifi connection into the room.
No heat in room in December. Old , unwashed blankets should be replaced by a duvet with a washable cover.
Locking and unlocking the old door is hard.
Smell of cigarettes pervading the room.
kitchen facilities.
wifi dident work but let me use his computer would have prefered to do in own room.
Decor is basic and bit dated. But clean so not a problem.
It was very shabby, with a really weird smell. Of course as always in Spain no English speaking staff. It is quite old so don't expect anything above basics.
Room very small and cheerless, only cold water for room basin. Generally very basic. Paid the same at another place in the region that was much better.
Tiny double room and bathroom, horribly uncomfortable bed, smell and noise were bad. /worst hotel we stayed with in Spain.
Room smelt, no bath towels, not enough room towels, no soap, no plug in sink, too noisy outside, door lock faulty, furniture in a poor condition, broken coat hangers, room too small.
