Hotel Bagués is set in the restored El Regulador Palace, once a jewellery workshop. It still houses the Masriera Jewellery Museum. Rooms are decorated in deep colours, with ebony furniture and details in gold leaf. An iPod dock and flat-screen satellite TV are included. Many rooms also have views of La Rambla. Situated in the Gothic Quarter, Hotel Bagués is a 5-minute walk from Barcelona Cathedral. Just 300 metres away, Plaza Catalunya Square offers excellent bus and Metro links. Hotel Bagues was everything we were hoping for. It was a stylish very chic looking hotel with an outstanding staff. The location was awesome right in the middle of Las Ramblas and steps to the Bari Gotic. I would highly recommend this location as the prices were very good as well. When we arrived, very tired, after a few days in Ibiza our room wasn't ready yet at about 1pm. They upgraded our room and gave us a corner room with views on 2 sides of the hotel. alla recensioner » The staff are top-notch. Very few luxury hotels are able to balance friendliness with efficiency like Hotel Bagues. It's a rare gift to offer the experience they do for guests. The ambiance of the hotel is fantastic, too, and despite being on the La Rambla - with a room overlooking it - at night we could only hear the faintest of sounds. Luxuriously decorated, but cosy, the entire hotel is a really lovely experience. We, my son and I, found this hotel to be very high standard, especially since we had a great deal on the price. Staff was friendly and the rooms, although small, very comfortable. Pitty the weather prefented us from enjoing the roof-terras. The rooms were comfortable and surprisingly quiet given location/hotel layout. The breakfast spread was impressive. As a boutique hotel its probably not ideal for a young family, but I found the stay very comfortable with my 1yr and 3yr in tow!. Interrior of the hotel was absolutely brilliant. We had an issue with the milk in that I think my baby was sick as a result of drinking milk that had not been properly stored. Also, I found the food generally average in quality, but very expensive. Can't think of anything... People who spent their time in the narrow corridors. The glass door into the bathroom needs a sticker or something in the middle as walked into it after it swung shut. Slightly noisy street. But rooms are fairly soundproof. Nothing. Price a bit high but was high season and at least it included everything. weak internet connection. I think we would of preferred the door into the toilet to be less see through to help with your modesty when using. No coffee/tea facilities in room. I liked every thing about my stay!. Outside you still need to be aware for thieves and pickpockets. Rooms near the Lift is very small and noisy and with out a bidet in the bathroom. room heating stuck on 22, needed it cooler. breakfast expensive but good quality. room too dark especially the rest room, can't do make up due to dim light. Room a bit too small. Internet/Wifi connection very bad, can't log in, always log off by itself (free wifi). Pay wifi is a bit better bit slow. No tea /coffee making facility in room. Internet was too slow. Noisy under ground rail services, hard to get a unbroken sleep. noicy in corridor in the morning nociy on Rambla street early morning. The bathroom has a glass door, really weird if you r not alone. Dark room, no view, small, wouldn't recommend for more than 2 days. Not very good bar area. Definitely not a 5 stars hotel, just a nice 3 stars. limited facilities, lack of space. Staff, decoration, style, room size, lack of parking facilitry as advertised, not recommended for solo female travellers with a car, actually not recommended at all! 3 star hotel personnel. No ironing or coffee facility in a room , room size very small, weighing scale not available ,no way this hotel is 5 star rating of 8+.
