Originally built as a seaside retreat for a prominent mining magnate, The St James is over 100 years old, with wood panelling originating from an old shipwreck. Spectacular en suite suites are complemented by a large pool with surrounding tanning deck overlooking the sea.

Information about the area

The St James Beach and tidal pool, and the secluded Danger Beach are on the hotel's doorstep, and are ideally suited for bathing in the warm waters of False Bay.

Fish Hoek, Simonstown, and Boulders Beach are close by with many walking trails over the imposing mountains towering over the retreat.

Room information details

There are 4 suites which are 70 m² in size, with gorgeous en suite bathrooms. Three suites are sea-facing, and the fourth has its own private courtyard for ultimate privacy.

Three of the suites have beautiful large bay windows that allow children between the ages of 5 and 12 years to sleep in - perfect for a small family.

Travelling information

By Car:
From Cape Town International Airport:
- Follow the N2 from the airport towards Cape Town city centre.
- Turn left onto the M3 Muizenberg off-ramp.
- Continue on the M3 to Muizenberg, until you get to the T junction at the end.
- Turn left, and at the next set of traffic lights, turn right onto Main Road.
- Travel along Main Road through Muizenberg and into St James.
- The St James is on the right-hand side, opposite the second tennis court on your left
