Hillwatering Country House has spacious non-smoking rooms fitted with heated blankets and deluxe bedding. Each room is equipped with a tea / coffee maker and a minibar.
Guests can enjoy an English or Continental breakfast outdoors or by the cozy fireplace in the breakfast room. The staff can organize a picnic breakfast upon request. Free Wi-Fi is available in public spaces.
Hillwatering Country House is 32 km from Pilgrim’s Rest. Natural attractions such as God’s Window are 40 minutes’ drive away. It is approximately 4 hours drive away from Johannesburg International Airport.

Apparently recently under new ownership and they could not have been more welcoming and friendly. A really good place to stay, not far from the centre of Sabie and to be thoroughly recommended. The owners say they want to change and improve small details about the rooms and facilities and I think then Hillwatering will certainly be excellent as it very good already. Personally we felt making the rooms more interesting with pictures and artefacts and more visually welcoming would be good: not t. alla recensioner
First and foremost I must praise the couple who run the place, friendly, charming, extremely welcoming, helpful, informative and highly professional in everyday.
The rooms are large, spotless and serviced at the highest standard by the cleaning staff, better than a 5* hotel. Views to die for and we could not ask for a better place to stay. Highly, highly recommended. Wish would've stayed longer.
The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to assist to make our stay comfortable. The room was spacious and comfortable. Sabie is a great central to visit Mpumalanga and it's wonderful scenery. We did a bike trip and stayed nights. Breakfasts were great and personalised to what we needed.
The owners were friendly and accessible, always attentive. The room was
luxurious, with a wonderful view from a large veranda of beautiful
countryside, not to mention a splendid garden. Breakfast was ample and
made to order.
We found the new owners Riana and Ane to be very friendly and hospitable. The venue and facilities were up to our expectations and I would recommend this establishment to any person. Fantastic guesthouse experience.

Lovely house and location. Very friendly owners with nothing that they wouldn't do or organise for you. Large rooms with spectacular views, comfortable and peaceful.
The whole experience was heaven among the mountains with wonderful hosts who informed us of what we should visit and see in our limited time there.
The congeniality and help from our hosts, they made us feel very welcome. The close proximity to the town of Sabie was also a bonus.

The only disappointment was the fact that there was no water in the B&B when we arrived. Our hosts were very apologetic.The water was restored the following morning.
