  Absolutely perfect location. Best location in Waterfront - set slightly above waterfront so has stunning views and feels like a preaceful haven, but is only a 2 minute walk down to all the action. The hotel itself is lovely with beautifully designed bedrooms and gorgeous grounds.   We spent 3 nights at the hotel during our holiday touring the garden route. Everything was fabulous with attention to detail all the way. The hosts, Desmond and Johann were very friendly and welcoming with great personal service.We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definate chose it again when we are back in the area.   I usually stay at the Waterfront and only chose the Taj out of neccesity because everyone else was full with Argus bookings. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent 5 star hotel at a fraction of the cost of some competitors. The city location is vibrant and interesting.   This was probably the best service i found in South Africa. You could compare with a service in Europe. The food was divine and you don't need to be Hungry to eat this lovely food...The garden was magical and surprising for 25 min from town...no need to go to Franschoek or Stallenbosch.   What is not to like. The service was so excellent, nothing to big or small for the staff to handle. We went for the Parlotones Concert and was drop off and collected from the venue. Then dinner at Sir Henry White. Food was exceptional as well as the services. Our stay overall was the best ever locally as well as abroad.
