  I usually stay at the Waterfront and only chose the Taj out of neccesity because everyone else was full with Argus bookings. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent 5 star hotel at a fraction of the cost of some competitors. The city location is vibrant and interesting.   I was there for a conference and everything was excellent: the room was comfortable and quite large, the linen very good, the food at the conference was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.   This hotel lived up to all our expectations and more. We arrived at 10.30am and expected to just leave our luggage, but we were given our room straight away. All the staff were very accommodating and the room was very pleasant. The road was bellow our room but we did not hear any noise at all. A lovely big bath was a treat. We would like to have stayed longer. - The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly, the hotel is almost a B&B but with private facilities, easy to walk to most in town attractions, excellent breakfast very good and convenient before the start to the day, good connection to WIFI. They also have a good network of local experts if you are looking for a guide (ask for Domingo)

  I stayed in the 2 Bedroom apartement (Mandela Gold), with my mother and two sisters. This actually accomodates upto five people, so we would have a guest here and there. This apartment is the best we stayed in Cape Town, it boasts wonderful views of the Harbour & Cape Town itself both during the day and night. From the star aprtments most places are just within reach, 15 mins to the Airport, Waterfront, Canal Walk Shopping Cen - Location is great, it was easy to get to all the tourist attractions. I stayed here with my girlfriend, it was very comfortable, safe and value for money. It is indeed a home away from home. Nearby there is a local convinience store. You will need a car to get around usually 15min drive to waterfront, canal walk, cape town CBD, rhodhes memorial, etc Hashim will look after you, he is the manager.

  This was an excellent hotel. It was situated just outside the Waterfront and although you could walk there, they had a courtesy bus that ran every half hour. It was also situated near to the cental area. We arrived early and they looked after our luggage until the room was ready. The room was clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The rooms and service is very good. The location of the hotel is good and the use of the free shuttle to the Vand A water front is very useful. If you get a good rate this is the hotel to stay in.
