  At Candlewood Lodge we were provided with a beautifully furnished and clean room called Spray. Although the room did not offer a view of the Knysna Lagoon, it provided every mod con we could have wished for. The owners, Joyce and Graham, are extremely friendly, helpful and informative regarding the town's facilities and restaurants. The breakfasts are very adequate indeed and are serve - We loved the fantastic views over the bay from our room. The guest house is lovingly cared for by the owners Joyce and Graham. It is spotless. Graham arranged a superb golf day for us at Perzula at special discounted rates. We stayed 3 nights and didn't want to leave.   Marvellous place. Another one reason to come back to Knysna, just to stay there. It's more, than just a hotel. The place not just to get the bed and breakfast, but to enjoy every minute. - Every thing. Staff was very friendly and helpful, owner was more like a long time friend. Would love to go back, and stay longer.

  We really love everything about Augusta Bay Guest House - the location, the staff / services, comfort, cleanliness. Its modern and have free and stable wi-fi in the room, individual parking lot and really facing the head front. There's no elevator but the staff helped us to bring our luggages up, so it OK. The bathroom and shower were exceptionally good for getting in and out of with mobility problems. Staff were most welcoming when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were excellent. The location at the Heads is absolutely superb with an excellent restaurant only yards away.

  An amazing boutique hotel located in the high hills above Knysna. A car is essential given the intimidating walk! The main building which is more than one hundred years old is a converted family house hence the very cosy atmosphere. We had ocean view rooms but the view of the magnificent grounds, pool and gardens is equally good. The overall hospitality offered by the management and staff made our stay in - This beautiful boutique hotel is situated on a hill overlooking the knysna estuary. Our room was perfectly decorated with amazing views over the lagoon. The bathroom was very spacious. The variety and quality of the breakfast buffet was excellent. The hosts and the staff were extermely friendly and helpful. The hotel has large and beautiful garden. We can highly recommend this hotel.

  To put my stay in context, I normally stay in 5 star hotels and have travelled extensively. The stay at this hotel exceeded our expectations, the location is great, the place beautiful. The staff were really helpful and Lloyd popped in while we were having breakfast and had some great recommendations for us, and even took the time to go through the local maps to show us places of interest.   The accommodation was excellent, spacious, and luxuriously furnished. We had complete privacy both inside and on the balcony, which had wonderful views of the lagoon.   Everything. Being in the travel industry, I have been to many guest houses, and this one by far is my favourite. Very clean, very comfy, but mostly, very friendly.
