  Although its in the city, you don't get to hear to city noise and the views from the hotel are very nice - From arrival to departure, we were made to feel that we were guests and not just people to fill rooms. We would stay there again when next we visit Durban.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and we can safely say all the meals were gourmet meals which we thoroughly enjoyed. The design and re-use of an old building is such a clever idea and most pleasing to the eye. The chef at breakfast as well as supper and presentation was excellent. The venue is also very peaceful and quite, so if you want to relax, away from the "city in the city", this is ideal. We also loved the lounge area outside in the courtyard, so if you want to have your meal or drinks outside the restaurant, it makes it an excellent option.

  For an overnight this was a good choice; our arrival was late afternoon into Durban and we were nervous about driving in the dark. It quickly falls dark around 18.00, apparently year round. Quiet,clean & comfortable with plenty of hot water & good helpful staff.
