  quiet good size room feels like a real hotel room... they have a restaurant / bar on premises that serves as breakfast area as well Nice place, with cute and bright rooms. It is right by a canal and views are beautiful, even when you are having breakfast (which is also very complete by the way). Besides it is very easy to get to the center from there and metro stations are very close if you want to move farther away. This hotel is really a bargain given its quality.

  Nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Best loacation, everything you need (sights, shops, cafes, railroad and bus stations etc) is near or takes not more than 10-15 min walk. Good word for water in hotel: water is ok, no smell, though when you turn tap, you should wait about 15 sec to get hot water out of it. Good location, comfortable and clean hotel and operated like western hotels. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful and they spoke fluent English. This all gave a feeling of being welcome there.

  The Anchikov has only a few rooms and the staff really treat all of their guests like a kings and queens. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left the staff did everything to make my stay a pleasurable one. For example, I had problems getting my rail tickets confirmed online and was about to purchase new tickets if the staff had not worked ... vad folk säger » an entire night to get my tickets confirmed. St Petersburg is such a wonderful city and the staff at Anichkov certainly contribute to make everyone's - The staff were superb and always on hand to help. The location was ideal and meant that everything in the historic heart of the city was within walking distance. The water cooler was very handy!
