  Comfortable, clean hotel. Nice bar and restaurant. Good value drinks. Excellent breakfast. I would stay here again without hesitation. Ten minute walk from metro station and restaurants. - Personal can speak English, clean, comfortable, compare to other russian-style hotels there was excellent breakfast, close to metro station Yugo-Zapadnaja.

  I liked everything. It's been my 3rd stay at Zvezdnaya and, hopefully,not last. For such a moderate price, I always get surprised by a good quality of service at the hotel. The rooms are spacious, the staff is very nice and helpful.   As soon as I arrived, the receptionist (who helped me) spoke very good english and showed me my room. This made me feel at home straight away, as my russian is beginner level and quite poor. Very friendly and smiling person, I won't forget her, a pleasure to deal with. The Rooms are in two separate apartments.   My room on the 16th or top floor was clean, renovated, decent, anonymos as hotel rooms come, equipped with a kettle and a fridge, tv with only Russian channels. But -hey- when in Moscow, do as Moscovites do. And of course a bath where I relaxed after a long day on foot. Russian fast food Kartoška and others are nearby, metro stations nearby, shops... vad folk säger » , caffes nearby. Travellers should note that a 1000 rbl deposit is requested and returned when you leave the room as you found it. - It's about 5 minutes to get to hotel from metro station and about 30-40 minutes from centre (by metro). Building is old but corridors and rooms on the upper floors (I was on the 16th floor) are quite new and modern. New furniture, rooms are totally repaired recently.Very convenient, clean, warm and even beautiful rooms. There are fan, fridge, kettle, cups. It's very quiet and comfortable to sleep there.
