We were there for 10 days and we hope to come back in summer. Location is very nice and quiet but not far from main street near restaurants, supermarket and metro station. Rooms are heated very well so You do not get cold, beds are comfortable and above all it is very very very clean. According to breakfast it is self -service which is great as You can sleep and not to worry You will miss breakfast;) You have musli, cofee, tee, bread, butter and always fresh yougurts and lots of milk available. alla recensioner »
The location of hotel is nice, it closes to the Metro Pushkin (5min.) and near by a popular 24hrs supermarket (2min). There are also many restaurants around, the cheapest such as McDonald's, Subway; oh, a small post office of Russia (2min)..... My room is about 15 square meter, although the furniture are too old to utilize. Bedding is new and clean. Staff is friendly, helpful and pretty young. Free laundry service is great !!! Free city map and brochures, various magazines help me a lot for upd.
Very helpfull staff, great location (plain center, yet, a calm street; plenty of restaurants and bistrots, also a supermarket and kiosks (for fresh fruits, milk products, meat and sausages) just around the corner, so, you don't necessarily have to run to McD...), relatively not expensive (there are hostels in the same area that ask just as much - for a bed in a room with few others...). It's a central Moscow apartment turned into 3 or 4 guest rooms (very spacious) with common facilities (bathro.
Overall it's good, we'll book them again on the 28 June. Room was clean and large. Location is about 5 minutes from Tverskaya street and metro.
A small hotel, central location, free breakfast is a big plus / Небольшой отель, хорошее месторасположение, из плюсов - бесплатный завтрак.
Close to the city centre. Close to the shop "Universam" with various fresh juices :-). Excellent help with taxi order.
Almost everything here is fine, good for rest, not far away from the subway, and staff is great.
Close to subway, grocery store, 24h ATM, quiet rooms, laundry service, big rooms.
Vanilla is quite good and has spacious rooms. What I liked it fast Wi-Fi.
Big double bed, comfort room, city centre, responsive staff.
Comfortable and very close to downtown and metro station.
Staff helpfulness. Provision of breakfast. Free WiFi.
good location and nice staff, friendly price.
I liked location and concept of this hotel.
Location, vrey friendly staff.
everything.
For Moscow this is a really affordable place. It's bare bones -- no
tv, toilet and shower down the hall -- but it has wi-fi (which worked in
my room, not just in the kitchen as some reviews say) and is a not too
long walk to Pushkinskaya metro station. The neighborhood is loud and
'happening' but my room faced the courtyard at the back and was
very quiet at night. Simple breakfast (milk, muesli) is included. This
was my first experience with an urban B&B in Russia, but the savings
in price .
Vanilla B&B was reasonably priced for a central location in Moscow. It's basic, but clean and comfortable and we had a nice big bedroom. It's in a good location being about a 20/25 minute walk from Red Square. Being able to have a breakfast of museli and toast was handy, as was the supermarket and bistro just round the corner!.
15 min walk from Red Square.
Nice and clean.
Nothing.
The noise such as floor, the wall of sound insulation
sounds loud; the central-heating system is too old to reach 18-degree within my room.
No sign on the outside which makes it impossible to find (I did not have a chance to check my email before the trip, so, did not get the message with the directions; but phone call was enough to clear things up).
At the arrival it's really hard to find the location of the hostel even if you staying in front of it :-).
nothing.
While not strictly a dis-like, the breakfast was kind of weak. I just ate more of it to make up the difference though (I'm NOT a picky eater - It's fuel for the body rather than taste for the palate) and for this reason I think the price should be lowered by at least $10 a day.
Breakfast is not served in the room, but you can prepare it yourself anytime in the common kitchen.
- creaky bed
- no soundproofing
- noise from neighbours
- broken door in the room (rubbing on the floor).
Difficult to contact the staff.
The hotel has no signage outside its premises which makes it almost impossible to find. This is particularly concerning when you arrive at night and find that the hotel is located in a quiet side street.
clear audibility of neighbors, some things of decoration need to be repaired. card payment does not accepted.
I would like to have bathroom in the own room.
nothing.
There is no external sign, so it was hard to find. The manager said it
was next to a children's store of a particular name, but in the
couple months between my booking and my arrival, the store had changed
its name! A knowledge of Russian really helps.
The B&B is difficult to identify once you find the road it's on - no sign or anything. The bathroom could do with some repair work as the taps are nearly coming away from the wall tiles.
limited interaction with staff (only business-related).
Cold in the night, not good isolation between the rooms so you could
hear everything even the toilet.
Everything.
