The location which was quiet, the breakfasts were great, the bed was large and very compfortable,the coffee maker, the cleanliness of the place the most important of all to us.
The weather was so cold and awfull for our trip, we spent a lot of time on the boat, it was warm, there were hundreds of good DVDs so we watched loads, and fed the swans, and ducks through the open window!

A very nice place to stay with friendly and especially helpful staff. Breakfast is good, the place is spotless, and it is to very close to the sights, and the train station. Since it is a docked boat it is also very quiet.
Don't forget it is a boat cabin what you will get. If you have accepted that, than you find this place very much to your likin

The price and location are good, and it's interesting to stay on a canal boat. In the summer, this boat cruises the waterways of France. As long as you expect cramped, boat cabin accommodations and a staff of one, it's fine.

We had a great stay in this lovely house with a very kind owner family and naughty dog. The greeting board was in Mandarin, which truly made us at home. A economic place to stay if heading to Volemdam Marken or Edam. Helpful kitchen in house for self catering! -

We loved everything! Except the stairs. Our room was up 5 floors of
steep stairs but if you can get over that... The rest was awesome!

There was not one thing I did not like about my stay at the 'Hotel Het OudeRaadhuis', it was beyond all my expectations and one of the top highlights of my vacation. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Castricum and surrounding area. I loved it. -

Wonderful hosts Sandra and Jan, really friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and pretty, and we had a great coffee machine in the room. They even gave us a bottle of wine on arrival. The area of Bergen is absolutely beautiful, and the shops and restaurants are within very easy walking distance. We will definitely be back!! -

We were traveling with our grandchildren to the Amsterdam area. This guesthouse was absolutely perfect for us. The rooms were spotless and beautifully appointed. Our hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect.. It is in the country, but you are only 15-20 minutes from Amsterdam as well as the charming towns of Volendam

Stayed in the suite - nicely decorated, tons of kitchen tools, two 2 piece bathrooms, lovely continental breakfasts each day and hosts that were very friendly and eager to please. The host also provided a ton of detailed directions for us before our arrival. They were also very responsive to our emails and texts.
