Very friendly staff, location was perfect, located right off the Dam behind the royal palace. Very clean. You get your room key and a key to the front door so you don't have to worry if someone is at the desk....you can let yourself in, anytime! - The location is great and the staff were very helpful. I was here about 10 days ago with my friends, the location was really excellent, in the town center and near the train station, staff was helpful and very kind, the reception works 24h a day, it was clean and we had so much fun, I would recommend it if you are coming to Amsterdam.

Hotel Pax is a cute, clean place to stay for a few nights, and the location is absolutely superb. It's right on a major street between Anne Frank House and Dam Square. Lots to see and do, all within walking distance. From Central Station, it was only 2 short tram stops, then a 4 minute walk at most. (Trams are easily accessible from Dam Square).

The hotel is exactly what is written in the ad. But you'll be
surprised positively. It is an old building (like most part of houses
there) with a big stair to enter. The owner is a very nice person and
helped me with my baggage when I arrived. He also gave a lots of hints
about the city and the touristic spots. Honestly, I was afraid of
shared bathroom and shower, but they are individual e there aren't
many rooms per floor, so every time I needed both were empty and I

The breakfast was simple but it was great for the money and it filled you up and got you going for the rest of the day.

Staff were always friendly and happy to help with anything. Wifi was available in the room and the breakfast was always good. The room and all the toilets and showers were extremely clean. I was a little worried about shared showers but caused no issues at all. This couldn't be better located, 5 mins from central station, shop right outside, restaurants close by and bike rentals available right outside. 10 out of 10

The hotel was a block from the Rijksmuseum -- the breakfast room looked across the street to the back archway. We were two blocks from the Van Gogh Museum, and on the tram and bus lines that led everywhere. We were able to take a BUS to and from the airport by walking a few steps.

Let's be clear - this is a budget hotel. Basic furnishings, shared bathroom. If this is what you are after this is a very good choice. Great location. Tram at door. Three major museums no more than 500 m away, canals also, supermarket nearby, plenty of food options, and the wonderful vondelpark. Good basic breakfast. Bed comfortable. Clean facilities. Good vibe.

Our room was really clean, nice size, the staff where lovely and location was AMAZING! We stayed in the twin room and is exactly as the picture shows! Ignore the comment about about the building being old and decaying. It is old like many houses in the dam but not decaying!
