  Hotel Pax is a cute, clean place to stay for a few nights, and the location is absolutely superb. It's right on a major street between Anne Frank House and Dam Square. Lots to see and do, all within walking distance. From Central Station, it was only 2 short tram stops, then a 4 minute walk at most. (Trams are easily accessible from Dam Square).... vad folk säger » There's also a full Supermarket within walking distance across from the Waag (historic city gate). This hotel is perfect for the budget traveler lo - The hotel is exactly what is written in the ad. But you'll be surprised positively. It is an old building (like most part of houses there) with a big stair to enter. The owner is a very nice person and helped me with my baggage when I arrived. He also gave a lots of hints about the city and the touristic spots. Honestly, I was afraid of shared bathroom and shower, but they are individual e there aren't many rooms per floor, so every time I needed both were empty and I could use it. By the way,

  The location of the hotel was really close to all the hotspots within Amsterdam! The breakfast was simple but it was great for the money and it filled you up and got you going for the rest of the day. The toilets and shower were clean the majority of the time minus a few when it had just been used! And the beds were very comfy. In my opinion for the money it was a great place to stay when visiting Amsterdam! - Staff were always friendly and happy to help with anything. This couldn't be better located, 5 mins from central station, shop right outside, restaurants close by and bike rentals available right outside. 10 out of 10

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (I was having back spasms and they really took care of me.)
