  The hotel was a block from the Rijksmuseum -- the breakfast room looked across the street to the back archway. We were two blocks from the Van Gogh Museum, and on the tram and bus lines that led everywhere. We were able to take a BUS to and from the airport by walking a few steps. I suspect we had the best room in the place, a large double on the lobby flo - Let's be clear - this is a budget hotel. Basic furnishings, shared bathroom. If this is what you are after this is a very good choice. Great location. Tram at door. Three major museums no more than 500 m away, canals also, supermarket nearby, plenty of food options, and the wonderful vondelpark. Good basic breakfast. Bed comfortable. Clean facilities. Good vibe.

  I had already stayed at this hotel once, in March. By that time, I loved the hotel except from it's staff, which I found a little rude. Now I think they have improved it. I've seen different people at the reception and they were much nicer. The location is the best thing about this hotel. There are several options of transportation close to - I got really impressed by the cleaness and comfort. The beds are wonderful. The bedding was very clean and nice. The furniture seems brand new. The shower is great! Free and fast wi-fi. The There is a kinder garden right in front of the hotel, so I think that's why the street is closed for cars, which makes it really peaceful even in the middle of everything else. You're just a few steps from the best museums, transports, Hard Rock Cafe, a Canal Cruise stop and much more. I would definetly go b

  I thoroughly enjoyed the owner's hospitality - very friendly, welcoming and informative. The studio was ample for four people, clean, well equipt and had personal touches like fresh flowers, making it a little like home.   The Hotel Fita is very comfortable and clean. We stayed in a smaller room but it was set up well for our two night stay. The breakfast at the hotel is very good. Roel was a great host and provided good advice on what to see in Amsterdam.The location is very good with the Rijks Museum and Van Gogh Museum within two blocks, Leidseplein is within ... vad folk säger » about four blocks, and one block from Amsterdam's mini Fifth Avenue - P.C.Hooftstraat. The trams to Amsterdam Centraal stop one block away (route 2 or - Easily the friendliest staff of anywhere we stayed across Europe. Want to make your own cup of coffee or tea in your room ... it's all there for you. Want to iron your clothes ... there is an iron and ironing board in your room ( the first time we'd seen this in Europe in over a month of travel). It's these little differences that just make travel so much easier. Great breakfast, great location, one of the largest rooms and bathrooms we'd had on our trip. Perfect.
