  The grounds were forested with a lovely trail to the tennis courts. We love to look for new birds to see and we had to look no farther than right there! The room was large, modern and clean and the staff were very helpful. - Spacious rooms, big bathrooms, comfortable bed.   location is very good,very handy to shops and restaurants.The front and back of the hotel have no traffic access, so nice and quiet, malls and plazas all round. Right on the waterfront,nice views.   We arrived just after having stayed in the jungle at Sepilok (which was after days of diving and a long bus journey), so we really needed somewhere clean and comfortable. The Sheraton Sandakan far exceeded my expectations on both fronts. It was extremely good value for money. Staff were all very friendly and professional, going the extra mile for... vad folk säger » us as well. Breakfast was good, with a range of options to suit the Asian or Western palate. Location was convenient - it took us less than an hour - The staff at this hotel, did much more than expected. I had a birthday cake delivered to my room a very pleasant surprise. Especially Stella.What ever we asked they went out of their way to help us. The best service we have ever had from all staff, in any place we stayed in Malaysia for 4 weeks, could not fault service, type of room & cleanliness.

  The staff were so friendly. They went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay and nothing was too much trouble. This is a fantastic hotel - clean, comfortable and a great restaraunt. The hotel organised for us to go to the proboscis monkey and orangutan sanctuaries, and also a river cruise. It is about 5km out of town so you do need taxis to... vad folk säger » get in and out, but it really was a lovely place to stay. - Nice new hotel outside the town. Since i find the town of Sandakan totally run down and a place not to be, livong outside of town was no prob. Manage to grab a cab to Sepilok thanks to the staff in the lobby for just 15 R Me and my girlfriend was the only ones livong at the hotel so it was quiet odd. Had 3 members of the staff helping us to get the landury machine working! Nice resturant!
