Super value lovely apartment suitable for a group/family or even 2 couples as both double bedrooms are ensuite. Its on the top floor so as long as you don't mind the stairs its very quiet. Great central location also,just a few minutes walk either way will take you to the old city or the newer city centre. Index café downstairs is excellent choic

Everything is Ok
1) perfect location. According to many Latvians this hotel is the best, because it is situated in the centre, in the most important street of the city, Kalku iela. 2) breakfast is ok! On the 7th floor of the hotel, big room, with music and a spectacul view as well from such a highness.

The breakfast buffet was amazing, with many choices, and different kinds
of "breakfasts" (continental, eastern european, northern
european, southern european, sweet and salty.....). Also, the rooms,
even "standards", are big and beds very comfortable. Location
is perfect, close to everything (city centre, art nouveau quarter, old
town, bus station, parks...). The staff was very friendly.

Astor has a very beautiful interior - we really enjoyed it, and we got a room with a nice park view. Room was clean and had all the most necessary equipment, including AC, that was one of the main reasons why we chose this hotel.

I like the antique-like façade of the hotel, which belies the modern and well kept interior. My room was spacious and came with a Jacuzzi bath tub. The location near the Powder Tower is very handy as it is on the edge of the Old Town yet on the side nearest to the other landmarks outside the Old Town, such as the National Opera House, the Independence Square and the Orthodox Church.
