  The staff all speaks excellent English and it was nice to ask them about which buses to take to the sites. The rooms were spacious for the price and for Japanese standards, and very comfortable. The facilities were modern and clean, with a full kitchen and bar by the front desk. The breakfast buffet was cheap and pretty tasty. The location was exc... vad folk säger » ellent, walking distance from a subway station and Kyoto station. Highly recommended. - K's is an easy, safe walk from the main Kyoto train station, however if I chose to use the bus it is even closer! Using the bus or walking, we can easily reach many popular sites and some of our favorites (which are lesser known) as well. I have stayed with students and found this as ideal location. With friends, this time, it was marvelous!

  The staff and facilities far exceeded my expectation for a guesthouse. Beds and furniture seemed new and clean. The bathrooms were clean and had excellent water pressure. The staff was friendly and remembered guests by name. I felt a sense of welcome every time I walked the the door. I highly recommend this hotels for backpackers, groups on a budget, or someone visiting Kyoto for a few days - A recommendable guesthouse for bagpackers! It's clean, friendly and easy to move around Kyoto. 1) The location was easy to get along the eastern part of Kyoto - very close to Kyomizudera, quite close to Gion. 2) The staffs there are really friendly and fun to be with. 3) Toilets and Showers are clean. Liked that there were many basins outside the shower booths (door closed) so that many people can enter at a time. 4) Each beds are with curtains and was clean.

  Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights in Kyoto, we wanted to try traditional japanese style room. But when we arrived at Ikoi No Ie it occured to us that it was the best choice apart of that what I mentioned. Spacious kitchen (with free cold drinks, coffee and tea), shared bathrooms and showers (very very clean), nice terrace and many many tips... vad folk säger » from previous visitors. Wheter you planed your visit at Kyoto or not, just look around and you'd probably find something intresting and worth seeing. - A subway station a minute away, also very convenient to the main railway station, (15 min walk or 1 subway station away), in a true old fashioned Kyoto street. Not far to 7/11 & supermarket, we didn't eat out much as 'the right place' was a little more difficult to find (not Japanese speaking). Although the railway station would have sufficed if we had wanted more eating options. We had the top floor of an apartment 30 metres from the hostel & front desk and a couple of hundred metres

  The staff can all speak reasonably good English and are all extremely helpful! The house is great if u r looking for the traditional "Japanese living" feel!! Security isint a problem since all rooms have locks and the main gate will be locked electronically after 10pm. We signed up for their Japanese breakfast, kimono wearing session and public ba... vad folk säger » th and all activities are reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place to all young couples or friends looking to experience Kyoto! - Location was excellent. All staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was very good value and was delicious.
