  Me and my partner stayed at New Miyako Hotel from 16th - 21st of August 2013. We can easily find the hotel as it's very close to Kyoto station. There's lots of shopping and eateries to choose from. We also enjoy bar lagoon in the basement as well as the souvenir shop. The staffs are amazing and they help us book the Kyoto tour trip. The Concierge was very helpful. There are not a lot of places to visit near to the hotel, but it is only a short walk to the stop for the bus to Gion. Its location was a little far from tourist areas, however it is conveniently located near a subway station and the hotel shuttle helps you get to the train station. Location is excellent to access the Nanjio temple and other famous spot. Dining and caual walking in this area are superb.
