Very close to the subway. Clean and airy room, size wasn't too bad
for japan. 5 min walk to the main shopping strip and maybe a 15-20 min
walk to Gion. Lots of restaurants nearby and 2 small supermarkets on the
street if you want to save some money and buy food there. -

The hotel is in a perfect location - right opposite the Kyoto station. The station itself is an excellent place for shopping and eating. In front of the hotel is the bus station, which has the buses that will take you to all the sights in Kyoto. Basically, the location of the hotel cannot be better.

Excellent American-style service (ie. help with luggage, staff always ready to assist), plus an incredibly good location, VERY close to station! (And also just across from a Post Office, coffee shop and handy 7/11-style convenience store). Room was larger than I'm used to when staying in Japan, and kept very clean. I stayed at Kyoto Tower Hotel for two nights during May. The greatest thing about this hotel is that it's very near to kyoto station and bus stop. So it's really easy for travellers to buy a one-day bus sight-seeing ticket to tour around all kyoto sights in convenience. And with JR pass, it's easy to travel to Nara and Osaka via railway. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Kyoto. There is
no elevator and we were on the 4th floor but the guy insisted on
carrying our very heavy bags up the stairs until my partner couldn't
stand it any longer and took one. The room was comfortable and clean and
when we forgot keys they were brought promptly. When they got a taxi

us they came outside to make sure that the destination was clear and

I loved the public bath. But also that it was only optional so that we
had a private bathroom as well. The staff could not do more for us. They
helps us navigate the bus system, we could buy bus passes and rent bikes
from them. And even though they had their own resultant, on the days our
money was low and we bought meals from the 7/11 down the road they
offered their microwave for us to use.

Prior to the trip, I had emailed them with queries, and they were very helpful in providing information, offering to pick us up from the bus station. One of the younger staff could speak both English and Chinese, so it made communication much easier.
The location was rather far away from the hustle and bustle of Kyoto city, so it was a refreshing
