Though the room was very very small it really doesnt mind because in this hostel common places are the best I've always been.
There are a lof of showers for men and woman,they are clean and you are provided of shampoo and everything you need, even there is a room with a lot of hairdryers.
The breakfast is simple but enough, tea, bread, some bakery

It was an exceptional experience. The owners were so warm and generous. They looked after me and helped me when I had problems with my flight (bringing me coffee at the computer, letting me use their phone, finding out numbers for me). When eating at their restaurant, I explained I am a pescetarian and they made me a beautiful unagi dish. The house itself is so peaceful and clean. The rooms are big and the bathroom is awesome. There is even a build-in television in the bath tub. Everything is very clean en the location is great to discover Kyoto. We rented a bicycle around the corner en biked our way around Kyoto! -

Everything on the practical side.
The 'room' was a small flat, spacious with a large wardrobe.
Clean towels, sheets and covers in the closets, a small kitchen, which didn't have any pots and pans, or other kitchen ware, but I borrowed some from the young girl who looks after the rooms.

I just LOVE the bathroom! There's a modern hi-tech bathtub with which you can press a few buttons and have the water ready at the right temperature and at the right level. It can even keep the water warm! The ventilation system and toliet are also amazing.
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area and you can take bus to go to sightseeing places. There are a few temples round the corner and creates a very good atmosphere. There's also a public bath within a 5-minute walk distance. We gav

We stayed for 5 nights with Mr Ono at Veada and had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms are spacious and the lovely old house is in a very convenient location near Gion, downtown Kyoto and the subway. Our 6 nights at Vaeda were wonderful. Exactly the ryokan experience I was hoping for in a quiet but well located neighbourhood. The house is well cared for, with attention to beauty. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us. Even though it is cold in December , the heating worked well. A warm Japanese toilet seat was a good reward for a nighttime visit to the bathroom!

there is a staff that will assist you when you check in. She is really
friendly and helpful. The room was very cozy and comfort, equipped with

Although we were a bit disappointed with Kyoto sightseeing (kept getting

The amount of space was perfect and we didn't feel cramped. The two main beds are up a ladder, which is strange and felt sort of like a clubhouse, but it was unique. When else in my life will I get to act like a kid again, right? The walk was only a few minutes from Kyoto station, which was convenient. I'm not a picky or needy traveler so it was perfect for me. Clean, efficient, comfortable, easily accessible, and we had internet access. What more do you need? All-in-all, it was a great experie
