  We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, Kyoto, Hiroshima, osaka & back via Helsinki. Throughout Japan we were impressed by the politeness, friendliness & cleanliness & we are sure all hotels at all levels meet the same standards. Rooms have magnificent views of the city, river, mountains & sunset / sunrise. - The hotel staff were so helpful and all seemed to be bilingual. They really were so kind - the waitress at breakfast asked me where I was from, and when I said Australia she came back in two minutes with English guides of Osaka which proved to be so helpful. They were just so proactive.

  Loved everything. Excellent service, breakfast very good, but there is room for improvement in comparison to other international hotels. Everything else, exceptional.   Really friendly staff, going beyond the standard polilteness level of Japanese hotels and making the stay personable. Hotel equipped with everything a 5 star hotel needs.   The hotel is beautiful, fancy, very clean and the room was big and comfortable. The staff was excellent, could speak English very well and was always helpful. They have directions printed out to major attractions and can explain every step of the trip very well. The staff also gives good advice on where to go and what to do in Osaka. First night in Japan, straight from Kensai Airport, it was the best choice for our fairly late arrival. On our third visit we were told they had upgraded us to a larger room, which also had a larger and -for us- a more comfortable bed (most beds in Japan are fairly hard).
