  We spent one night on the way to Elba. Fantastic Tuscan views, peace and total relaxation on the go. Maybe a little hard to get to the destination. I would recommend for people who like detachment from the crowds. Near the 20 to 30 km two wonderful small and charming towns. Good restaurant. The staff couldn't do enough to help you, whether it was about your room, the local towns or where the nicest beaches were. They also spoke very good English. The room was great with everything you could need and was overlooking the valley and Volterra.

  Staff were excellent - extremely helpful. The location was lovely. We enjoyed our stay so much that we went back for another night a week later and would recommend the hotel to anyone. - Views are only spectacular!.   Etruria was a very nice small boutique hotel run by the owner, who is very kind and organized. She treated us very well, gave us directions and recommendations and a city map etc. The parking is like a 100 meters or 100 yards away, you'll see why these walled city hotels don't have parking. The hotel is small, but it is smack in the middl - Great location in the old city with a lovely garden at the top. No lift, but if you are going to a hill town you are going to be using lots of stairs anyways. No lift was not a problem for us, but some people may, We had a view over the street from their top floor. It was interesting to watch the town wake up in the morning.
