  Beautiful view over Lake Como. The hotel room was well appointed and had a spectacular view up and down the Lake. The food and staff in the restaurant were of a high standard and very helpful. Front desk staff even drove us around when it started to rain.   This hotel was awesome. We were to have stayed 2 days and stayed 5. Beautiful view of Lake Maggiorie from room. Breakfast was awesome. Fresh fruit from the garden to include fragolina grapes and figs. Had a wonderful relaxing time. Used hotel as base for visiting Stresa, Orto, various other towns.....can even use it as a base for going into Switze... vad folk säger » rland....Ascona. Staff very kind. I explained I hurt my ankle and needed a room with a tub to soak it and there was no problem. Extremely clean!!! Wil - The hotel, which is clean, modern, comfortable and well-equipped, is about 4km from Stresa with a magnificent view over Lake Maggiore. The hotel staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay there in relaxing and peaceful surroundings.

  Beautifully clean hotel,wonderful owners, very helpful, free parking space. Good breakfast and a simply fantastic location. 5 mins walk to Lido to catch taxi boats to Borromean Islands, also a restaurant at the Lido with v/good food. 5 mins in opposite direction and you are in the centre of Stresa with its shops,bars and restaurants. The value for money was fantastic. - To call it 'basic' would be an injustice - its a simple place, exactly how hotels used to be, without the modern frills that many hotels now offer (eg aircon, fridge). What it does offer is: charming and helpful family owners, great location (just 3mins walk off the lake-shore) on a quiet lane, simple accommodation, balcony overlooking quiet leafy gardens. Lovely hotel, great value for money, definitely recommended

  My wife and myself stayed at the hotel for two nights. Location of the hotel is excellent, a two minutes walk from the ferries. pier Room very clean. (We stayed at the at a triple room since it was the only one that was free for two nights when we booked it). No AC in the room. We had two windows and one balcony.   Closeness to everything. The proximity to the town square was interesting and fun. We were very close to transport for the lake and the islands. Shopping in the town was also good value. Our beds and room was kept spic and span.   The rooms are on the lake, it is simply wonderful, very very clean and tastefully (simply) appointed rooms. The restaurant is a wonderful open air affair. Staff are full of energy and eager to help. Staying on the island is so lovely. Couldn't recommend a better way to visit Stresa and surrounds.
