  The surrounding town is lovely! Small, but charming. Peaceful, too. The drive up to Varese Ligure is a bit long from e.g. the coast, with steep curvy hills, but when we arrived we totally forgot about the long(ish) drive and enjoyed the character of this town and the surrounding landscape.
