  The rooms were beautiful and the tilework and decor were outstanding. The room with the large bed was great- but the twin beds were really too small for adults and the mattresses were too hard.   Travelling to Europe so many times, this hotel is one of the best that i ever stay, and by far the most memorable. Renovated from an very old palace, which a history at least 400 years, the hotel so well designed that the material, the detail and the style is a excellent modern expression of the traditional local style. Check out the dinning room - After three days in Rome, the crowds started to grate on our nerves, so we made like the wealthy Romans of ancient times and got the heck out in order to get some fresh air. We took the subway to Ponte Mammolo, and a ~50 min bus ride from there to Tivoli. Heading to Tivoli, and Catillo in particular, had to be one of the best decisions we made during our trip to Italy.   The owner and his family were extraordinarily kind - nothing was too much trouble for them. They even gave us an exceptionally early breakfast when our plans for the day required an early start. We were very impressed that they were watching out for our arrival and from then on they set the tone of being as helpful as it was possible to be, even ... vad folk säger » baking cakes for breakfast that they knew we especially liked. The breakfasts were wonderful - a huge choice, and scrambled eggs were especially cooke - The space was clean and well kept. Very comfortable and conveniently located. Safety never an issue (felt very safe). Owner of property and family wonderful, accommodating, and very helpful. Located near the train ( short walk) and only small fee to travel into Rome by train. Excellent dining, friendly locals. Highly recommend staying at this wonderful B and B. Some traffic noise, but even that ended by 2100. Would love to stay again!

  The accommodation is ideally situated to visit Villa d'Este and Tivoli itself on foot. Giancula and his mother are excellent hosts, friendly, charming and nothing is too much trouble.   The hotel is in a good location close to all attractions. Personally, I was left with a very good impression of the hotel and the staff who were so welcoming and kind. It was further more than I expected staying in a hotel.   This is a wonderful B&B. The house is ancient, full of character and beautifully restored. It is right in the middle of the old town of Tivoli and you can walk everywhere. Nicola even very kindly gave us a lift to the station, and was always ready to provide restaurant recommendations; whilst Maria rescued us by giving our taxi driver instructions as to how to reach Al Palazzetto

  Amazing panoramic views, beautiful place to stay, the couple who own it are just lovely, we had a language barrier but that didn't stop up for figuring out what to say, they also recommend a lovely Italian place for dinner, the Falcon down the road, it was delicious.
