Our stay in Stresa Residence was unforgettable. We liked absolutely everything. Stresa is a wonderful historical town with nice views and villas. Our appartments were cosy, comfortable, everything was in place, and we appreciated a price/quality rate. Especially we would like to thank Jiuliano, who has met us on arriving and was very helpful and unobtrusive. The location of the town is very convenient for long walks or for travelling. alla recensioner » We chose Stresa Residence for two reasons - (1) it was an apartment rather than a hotel and had a full kitchen; and (2) it was less expensive than most of the hotels we looked at as well. We were very happy with our choice. We ate all of our breakfast in as well as some of the lunches (with the kitchen and a grocery store a block away this was easy). The location was good too - one block from the lake and right near the main square of the town + 15 min walk to the train station. Bath and sh. We recently returned from a stay at Stresa Residence. What a joy! Our apartment was modern, bright and spacious with all the amenities one could want. Stresa Residence is located in the centre of town, one block from the lake-front and is within easy walking distance of the train and ferry stations. There is a supermarket and laundromat close by. Thanks to Guiliano for making our stay memorable. Highly recommended. We enjoyed every thing about our stay. Giuliano was fantastic from our first meeting. The apartment had everything you could want, it was modern and very clean. We had the Bougainvillea apartment which had 2 balconies perfect for soaking up the sun. The wifi was fabulous. We would definitely stay with Giuliano again. This apartment made for a very memorable time in Stresa. The location was excellent - close to the lake, shops and restaurants in the old cobblestone section. The apartment was modern & well appointed. Unusual lay out walking through the spacious bathroom to get to the lovely outdoor area but it worked with a couple. People watching from the front balcony with a glass of wine was enjoyable. Location right in the centre with a great balcony for enjoying an evening drink and watching the world go by. Superb location right in the middle of the town, no need for a car, can walk everywhere and public transport close by, spotlessly clean, modern, energy efficient, stylish, superb, free wifi, wish all holiday accomodation was of this standard. Almost everything - room, location, staff. Thank's again, everything was just great!. Nothing. There is no elevator so hiking up and down from the 3rd floor could get old. We were on the 2nd floor so this wasn't really an issue for us. For some people the pull down bed may be unusual but it is well appointed with bedside lamps. e. Very small complaint would be that there were little or no basics available on arrival. E.G. olive oil, bread, kitchen roll etc. Also we didn't find a coffee maker. Because we ere travelling as four adults, it would have been good to have another comfy chair as the seating was a bit limited in the main room. Nothing negative. Whats not to like?!. Steep stairs. Apartment advertised with 2 bedrooms actually has 1 bedroom + 1 sofa bed in living room. Narrow spiral stairs, may not be comfortable for strollers but the owner told us that we could just leave the stroller downstairs. Nothing everything was perfect. Nothing. We had to leave. Just a little moment - we did not find a ring or smth to call the Apartment manager upon arrival. But the guys from the restaurant below the apartments called him once we asked them how to find the apartments manager. Pretty narrow spiral stairs (we lived on the third floor) may not be comfortable for some people. Not for us though.
