  Be sure to ask for the room on the upper floors with a view. The view is spectacular from up there and the walk up (no elevator) is worth the hike. The breakfast is good and the people polite. You are right in the center of the old town and the evening bar next door is good for a nightcap or snack.   Everything! Nicola was an exceptionally friendly host, and his family were wonderful even though their English was not as good as his. The castello and grounds were beautiful and the views from the tower room were literally breathtaking. This was probably the single best stay my wife and I have had in our lives. And be sure not to turn down the chance to have a meal at neighboring Le Pietre Vive for the cha - Great host, beautiful and rustic surroundings. The associated farmhouse restaurant was wonderful and breakfast was tasty and served as if you were in your grandmother's kitchen.

  Great location and value for the money. the room was right near Piazza del Campo and we had the added advantage of enjoying the Onda's celebration for their Palio victory. The breakfast was nice and the room was suitable for our needs. The best part of the trip was the hospitality of Anissa.
