There was a mix up on our arrival (the manager did not realise we were arriving in the morning) so initially we had to wait for an hour for him to arrive. However, once he did arrive, he was lovely and very friendly. Not only did he upgrade us to a self contained large apartment (big enough for a family of 5 even though it was just 2 of us), he also gave us tips about where the 'locals' liked to eat and what we should visit/see.
The apartment we stayed in was down the road from the main Bollo b. alla recensioner »
Great location - once you learn the trains (46, 62, 64, 116t, 571, 916
to the second Corso Vittorio Emanuele stop will drop you off just around
the corner from the apt), otherwise it is a pretty long walk from the
train and metro. Everything was pretty much what I expected and they
were pretty accomodating as long as you give notice (E.T.A., luggage
hold, etc). Decent sized room - more than expected for Europe. Average
beds. The room was simple but cute. Bathroom was tile and marble and
most im.
The place, an old convent, is a charm.
2 minutes walk from Campo de Fiori, a place packed with history, fruits and vegetables from monday to saturday, bakeries Forno and Fornaio (which is way better than Forno). 5 minutes walk from Piazza Navona.
And maximum 20 minutes walk to all Rome's popular attractions ... good or what ?
Stayed at a room with private kitchen and cooked dinner all nights, for family delight. Three supermarkets and some delis 5 minutes by foot.
Staff (Samir) is very helpful .
This apartment was difficult to find as it is tucked away on a tiny cobblestone street., Was not disappointed with the location once we arrives as it was right in the heart of the Camp De Fiori square! Excellent restaraunts and shopping. Walking distance to Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain. Excellent and helpful staff. We were a family of 5 and we stayed in the apartment on the 3rd floor. Lots of room, full kitchen. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great value for the money. Loved the loca.
We had a late arrival flight that ended up delayed and then it took an
hour to get our bags. After renting our car and searching for the hotel
for a long time in the laberynth of Rome, we found it and checked in
after midnight. The clerk had stayed for us and was still cheerful and
helpful. The location of the hotel was fantastic, right in the middle of
everything. I highly recommend Bollo to anyone! Oh, and so far on our
trip, the most comfortable beds, too. Go Bollo!.
You get a very Roman experience living in an apartment in a 17-century house in a narrow side street close to Campo de Fiori. The location is just perfect - both for shopping, main attractions, late dinners and apperitives in central squares. Although it's very quiet in the room. yes, and it has a conditioner which is vital if you appear to be in Rome in the middle of summer.
Very convenient location, walking distance to many major attractions and bus stops for those further out. Clean, quaint, we felt very safe and secure with all the doors and gates. We had an apartment with cooking facilities which was nice to be able to prepare our own meal when desired. Had a nice homely feel which made a relaxing break from the hotel rooms.
Not our first trip to Rome & we were happy with the apartment. We booked a double & ended up in a large open plan room with a Queen bed plus 2 singles, a small table with 2 chairs, wall safe, a tellie (no english channels if that bothers you) & seperate bathroom. Staff were fantastic & location is great, in a quiet alley near Campo de Fiori.
We had a warm welcome, and despite the room not being the one I requested when I booked, it was clean and functional. We got free wifi and shown all the facilities before being left by the owner. The building has a lift which was nice at the end of a long trip.
The staff was extremely friendly.
The Location was excellent, close to all aatractions, restaurants and daily markets. We was able to walk to all areas of interest with young childs (8 and 10 years old).
Bollo is in a very good location and is walking distance from most major attractions, many nice cafes and restaurants near by.
Location was good, the place was clean. Minutes to Campo de Fiori was good.
The elevator was tiny, but at least there was one.
Great location, interesting building. Pretty good customer service, and room appeared clean with proper amenities.
To be in the historical center, to be able to prepare my own meal.I woyld stay again if I visit again Rome.
Location excellent, restaurants and farmers market in Campo de Fiori very convienient.
Location, location and ... the location!!!
Flexibility and very private attitude.
The staff was friendly and envolved with my needs. Samir was
absolutely helpful.
great location in small picturesque street close to campo de fiori.
friendly and helpful staff, excellent location.
Great location, friendly staff.
location, room, staff.
very good location.
Everything.
The location, the good bed and comfort bath.
The staff was really nice and willing to help, but this was not enough
to compensate for the problems of the apartment....
The location is excellent.
Only location.
Location.
Nothing. Great location, friendly manager who was always available to help if not in person, then via email or mobile. Its not a luxury accomodation but its clean and for the price that we paid, a relative 'bargain' for Rome.
I am a light sleeper and woke up a few times from outside noises - it is
a pretty quiet area however.
The bathroom was very small but overall, this did not impede the stay.
The room itself was a pretty small and really lack some space for two adults. But if you travel light, it's not a problem at all.
Our room definitely didn't look like any of the photos.. But having said that.. It was quaint and we really felt we were getting an Italian experience.. Not a hotel room. Suited us fine but others may be disappointed.
Only 2 little things - the room had a strong smell that we believe might have been from cleaning product but we did get used to it after a while. Hot water did run out in shower though & there were only 2 of us - so shower quick!.
The aircon was a bit temperamental, and the room got quite hot. If staying more than one night I would have needed to get it checked.

Room was quite small for price we paid.
The outside pictures are not of the hotel, but a nearby restaurant. The actual hotel entrance is bleak.
Nothing.
Reception working times (short).
I found the price a little bit high compared with other hotels with the
same type of location and facilities.
no view from room- but who wants to stay indoors at Rome?.
Quad room was crowded, small bathroom.
the absence of reception and too many keys.
There's no hot water to take a bath!!! We arrived afyer a 24 hour
trip and could not take a bath! Even after the tecnician came and they
said it was fixed, we could only have 1 minute of hot water. The room
has a window to the street and it is very noisy at night! The room
smells mold...
We actually paid and didn't stay the night. The accommodation was far less than expected. Overall, the property was dingy, dated, and in serious need of update. We didn't feel comfortable and had to go through four security doors to access the "apartment". As for the "apartment" there was hardly room to set our bags down. We are regular Italian travellers and are familiar with customary mid-priced accommodation and this one missed the mark.
Rooms not the same as shown on the website. It was very dingy and
suffocating. The gyser wasn't working,no one came for repair inspite
of complaining, also linkage in the kitchen sink.

We stayed in room 2A. We have not seen in our life such a small and un comfortable room.
There was a bad smell in the lift and in the kitchen.
