Just outside the Vatican walls, B&B Carpe Diem offers modern rooms with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. It is a 5-minute walk from Roma San Pietro Train Station.
Rooms have a minimal design with tiled floors and mosaic bathrooms. They all include a hairdryer and toiletries with a shower cap, shampoo and shower gel.
You will have total independence when staying at the Carpe Diem as you are given keys to the front door as well as your room.
The B&B is 5 minutes' walk from Saint Peter's Basilica. It has excellent bus links around Rome and is in a pleasant area with a number of cafés for breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay in this friendly B&B with excellent location just across from the side entrance to the Vatican. Bus 64 also took you to Termini passing by the main stops to touristic areas for only €1.50 a 100 minute bus/train ticket.
All the staff were very helpful and we felt like being at our own home because we had the keys to get in an out of our floor and also the second floor where the kitchen-dining area was.

The staff were helpful and very welcoming. Thwy were also flexible with me letting me leave my bags before an after checking out. The location was perfect as well (just a few blocks to the Vatican City and right across from a bus stop that can take you directly to the train station).
Did exactly what it said on the tin. There was Wi-Fi in the rooms, the breakfast was fine, it wasn't too noisy, and once you knew your way around the city it was very fairly central, in a less expensive area than most, and super-close to the Vatican.
Roxana is very friendly and helpful, very nice rooms and place. Clean room and good for sightseeing. 100 meters from Vatican. Everything is reachable from the bus station near B&B thus no problem reaching any place in the city.
The staff was very responsive via email, meeting @ the location, also
provided a taxi service to the airport. The price was fitting for one
night stay. Quaint little place two blocks from St. Peters.
We love everything about the hotel....Antonio and Alessia were the best!
It's only 2 minutes walk to the Vatican....we will stay there again
and recommend to all our fiends!.
Breakfast simple, but adequate Location great for visiting the Vatican
and Papal events Staff very helpful and accommodating.
Walking distance to Vatican host was a little late meeting us but then
drove us to downtown Rome -very kind people.

The shower is a bit narrow and the windows overlook a back alley but we didn't spend much time in the room apart from the necessary rests so it was fine not to have a view because the view are actually outside. :-).
The room was a little chilly.
It was slightly further out from the centre than we expected, and the final 5 minutes of our walk was somewhat confusing with the strange road layout around the Vatican. Note to other guests - you CAN walk through the large tunnel that goes underneath Vatican City. Also, some indication on the main door as to how to gain entry when you first arrive would be very helpful.
We stopped by the place to meet with one of the staff days before
staying to reserve it etc, rang the doorbell and found that there is no
one on the other side. We contacted them later that day via email with a
quick response saying that it doesn't work and will meet next day @
noon. I would say slightly in convenient but if Carpe diem would have
just let us know up front on how to meet/reserve the place better
all would areas of review would be excellent.
Wi-Fi spotty. Wish we had paper copies of our plans, maps, etc. Room a
bit cramped, but typical for European accommodations.
Left luggage is across the street in a cafe-.
