  Great hotel. Room we stayed in was huge, spotless and very clean. The bathroom was huge and spotless. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with an excellent variety of fuits and other staples. The staff were helpful and very friendly. If you decide to stay here, there is a reastaurant around the corner with a waiter named Nikko, he'll take care of ... vad folk säger » you. Just tell him Chris from Chicago sent you. There's a Mojito Bar right across the street where many people gather, with some great cuban music. - Rooms were well appointed and everything worked. Good firm superking sized bed in a standard room. A lot of the original stone had been built into the deisgn and was well done.Very quite. We had a back room 415 and with the shutters closed it was silent. In summer if you wanted to open the shutters there is an aircon machine nearby which is noisy.

  The staff were extremely friendly. They were helpful in giving usinformation and directions for visiting Mr Etna and also suggested wevisit a local festival. The dinner we received was great value for moneyand delicious. We had a fantastic view of Mt Etna and could see lavaflow at night. It was easy to find and had parking.   Great location, very accommodating.. Very helpful staff, very close to Fontana Bianche.. The bicycles available for free on the property were a great way to get to the beach and rocks.   The location was perfect - metres from the main street. Really good breakfast - just ask for eggs, bacon, cheese etc. Roof terrace was great, lots of sun loungers and not too crowded. Pool is not huge but fine to cool off in.and has lovely views. They can organise a cheap trip to a nearby private beach which was definitely worth doing. We got the ... vad folk säger » bus from the airport which solved the parking problem, and was easy to use. Bus station is about 15 mins downhill on the way home though we did get a - The staff where very friendly and always happy to help. We had a very pleasant week. Rooms are small but big enough not to be too cramped if staying longer the a few days. Was excepting a little noise from other reviews but did not experience any inconvenience late at night.

  Very nice stay. Great breakfast, most of it home made and fresh. Owner is very friendly, caring, educated and hospitable. No problem getting there. Ispica is interesting for the cava d'Isp - Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !
