  Location was excellent for navigating around Rome. Right next to Ponte Umberto short walk to Castle Saint Angelou and Vatican, even shorter walk to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Rooms were comfortable and cool which was much appreciated in the summer heat. Right from the entry way to the hotel room! The hotel is down a cobble stone street and you really get the feeling that you are in rome. The location is perfect! The breakfast was really good and the staff was friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to others. I stayed in two different hotels in Rome, and I preferred this hotel and location.

  Very good location right in the center close to the main city attractions and boutiques. We lived in a double room facing the yard with a nice balcony. It was very calm, cosy and clean. Breakfast was also very good. Trevi fountain is very close to the hotel, as well as several historic churches and other magnificent monuments.   Small boutique hotel with Italian Renaissance decor. Updated bathrooms, though small by American standards, had many unique features not usually seen in hotels in the usa. The owner, Roberto, is professional and takes great pride in the attention to the details of the hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Very near top attractions and local cafés. I ... vad folk säger » have stayed there 5 times over the last 5 years, and appreciate the unique and lush appearance of the hotel, but if you are into large spaces and cont - Our host Roberto, his wife and the staff were welcoming and took extra care of our needs. We booked two single rooms and sometimes in the past we have been allocated tiny, substandard rooms. The rooms at the Celio were charming, clean and the location between the Colosseo and Laterano was fabulous. This was the first time we have ventured out of the Trevi/Tritone area. (We go to Rome each year over past 15 years and this experience was one of our most enjoyable. Grazie Roberto!!

It is our go to place for all Rome trips. - It was new, good bathroom and beds. We had a real ironing board and iron. Very quiet, no smoking, close to everything in central Rome, we walked to everything we wanted to see. Staff were good without fawning and obviously tip trawling. Most importantly it lived up to it's on line promotion, photos were honest.
