  Facility and host were exceptionally delightful. Located off the beaten track so if looking for night life may not want to stay here. We arrived late and had not eaten dinner, but host put together some food for us to eat. Seemed like outdoor activities such as hiking would be good. Even the neighbors in this small town were helpf - Clean, nice hotel, which is a very nice and classic Italian country house with perfect view, right under a castle, in a typically italien village. The owner, the host was very very friendly and helped us immediately if we had a question, gave good advices what should we visit. You can reach easy Lucca, Pisa, Florence, with a stack of "must see" attraction. In the other way You can find beatufil nature, with mountains, small roads.

  The lovely villa is set in the peaceful countryside,the only sound you hear at night is the clock town from the nearby village church. The owners are friendly and courteous and always willing to help with directions and any other questions you may have. Our room was a good size with lovely views and was immaculately clean. - Romantic room with high ceilings and a nice view and lovely garden for sitting outside. Staff spoke excellent English and was friendly and helpful. Very short drive to the city of Lucca, good strong coffee for breakfast. WLAN available. Excellent local restaurant 3 minutes away (Il Borghetto del Castello).

  Stunning building and location 10k outside Lucca - you need a car to stay here but definitely worth it. Tranquil, unique interior but if you don't like religious iconography you might find the paintings and sculptures a bit overwhelming. Beautiful views, amazing dawns, friendly and helpful staff, well stocked breakfast buffet but the coffee could ... vad folk säger » be improved. A lovely hotel to come back to in the evenings and even though the rooms are small and basic the bed was comfortable and the views made u - This old monastery is in the countryside outside of Lucca. It is situated in a garden / vineyard with beautiful tranquil views. We travelled from the hotel to Lucca and Pisa and found it well located for a drive to the local towns. The courtyard is perfect for a relaxing bottle of wine - which is available from the bar inside.
