  The owner Maurizio was very friendly. On arrival we were a bit late and he recommended a restaurant that was nearby in the local village. He even picked us up after dinner so we didn't have to walk back in the dark.   The location is amazing, nestled in the densly wooded hills. The owners were very friendly and accommodating- we were there for the Lucca comic fair, and they accommodated our late arrival willingly. Also the recommended a FANTASTIC little restaurant up the road. Decided to have dinner as the spectacular drive to town long and winding. A good decision as the food, all local produce, and wine were wonderful.
