The man who helped with the check in also brought us to our room and gave us an overview of the facilities. He was really friendly and detailed. - Everything. The room is big enough (Europe standard), the bed is absolutely comfortable and the shower is mmmmmmm... what a great experience after walking Rome. The bathroom, the huge TV, the DVD... everything is new and modern. Really clean. The coffee and tea facilities are very good to take something quikcly and start exploring Rome without delay. The staff was really kind and helpful.

Not sure I want to provide a review about this place as it will be giving away a secret! I travel to Rome often and had to book this hotel at the last minute. I was pleasantly surprised. What struck me the most was the friendly nature of the family running this establishment. I can only describe it as old fashioned hospitality with a genuine smile. Bedroom was huge for mid city standards and shower was larger than most 5 star hotel.

Stayed here 3 nights and would come back again & recommend definitely:
- perfect location - just a few minutes from Termini station and a walking distance from all main sights of the city center
- the apartment is light & spacious enough
- with it's 2 twin bedrooms & 2 sofas in the living-room it is ideal for 2 couples or a family wit

The owner was very helpful and was always available. We had some
trouble connecting to the wifi and she gave us the use of her tablet
which had a separate internet connection. She also didn't charge us
for the wifi. The location is great as it is right next to the main
road - Via Nazionale. It was also located in a very safe area as the
place was next to the Ministry of Defence offices. Presentation-wise:
you get what you pay for.

Everything was perfect!!! The staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were very clean and just enough space for you to sleep and keep your luggage. Allt var mycket bra och man får verkligen värde för pengarna. Ett bra beläget boende som är fräscht med trevlig personlig personal. - Suveränt läge. Synnerligen servicesinnad och trevlig personal (Erland). Valde hotellet på rekommendation av vår dotter och har själv rekommenderat det till vänner som ska till Rom.

Bra läge, bra med utrymme. Perfekt service från personalen. - Localization - two small food shops open till 10 pm, entrance to the Metro within 3 minutes. Arrangement and design of rooms. Additional sets of dushes and cutlery for guestst. Petrarca is very spacious and very quiet. The staff at the office at SM Maggiore was very helpful and friendly.

We broke a lamp, but it was no problem at all.
"Viminale" is an excellent location (also friendly and helpful neighbors - not seedy at all, as somebody wrote).
Many sights within a short walking distance (colloseo, foro Romano, etc.).
Nearby Metro gets you quickly and cheaply (1.50 euro for age 12 and up) to Vatican city.

We enjoyed our stay in this small and cosy hotel very much indeed.
They kept our reservation even there was some kind of an issue with the credit card provided.
The staff, especially Mimmo (I think) at the reception were just great, always smiling and always ready and willing to help.

Perfect location, only 2 minutes walk away from the Cavour Metro station
plus one of the best gelato shops in Rome (Fatamorgana) is right outside
the hotel. A number of nice cafes around, with a pizza restaurant next

Top floor room had a private terrace, Free internet, Air conditioning was a plus, but the real bonus here is location location location. It is a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum, The Roman Forum, Trojan's Forum and The National Monument to Vittorio Emanuale II which are all must see landmarks in Rome.
