  I can't say enough about the Orlando Palace Apartments. First, they are actually apartments. You have a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and full kitchen. There's even a dishwasher and washing machine! Everything was spotless, and the keyed entry pad into the building was wonderful- no extra keys to carry around. We were able to access the apartment on arrival, which has not happened at some other apartments I have stayed at in Europe. Numerous restaurants were in walking distance.   This hotel was quite simply one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. The sheer delight of being in such a historic building, beautifully restored with spacious rooms and excellent facilities was a treat not to be missed. Room perfectly suited our needs - staff responded to booking request to provide room away from noise.

We were welcomed by David who was incredibly helpful and recommended two restaurants in the local area that were out of this world and very reasonable for the quality!   From the moment we arrived in the hotel we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of Luigi at reception. He was very pleasant. We ate in two restaurants close - This hotel is in a spectacular building and location. I stayed here based on the reviews of the roof terrace, and it was just as wonderful as others stated. We went up a few times throughout our stay and there was never anyone up there - we were able to take photos and just relax. The staff was very friendly and helpful - at the desk 24 hrs a day.   We upgraded our room for a (discounted) 35 Euros per night. We stayed in "The Tower" which was a room on 3 floors with an old stone winding staircase. It was incredible. The top floor (the bedroom) had 360 degree views of Florence for miles. Very romantic and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Valen - Absolutely wonderful hotel right in centre of old Florence. Everything you would want to see is just a short pleasant walk away. Our deluxe room was very big, clean and comfortable with a frame bed and huge couch. The breakfast is amazing with a huge selection of dishes. The staff are all very friendly, efficient and helpful. The breakfast staff even remember what you like and bring it without asking. My wife and I stayed for six nights and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
