  We stayed in the Annex, which is around the corner from the main hotel and reception. Both buildings are in the old city centre, a block or two away from Trevi fountain and many restaurants and curio shops. great location. The room was a good size and very clean. The bed was large and very comfortable. We had a room with a small balcony, looking out onto the street, which we much appreciated. The location is perfect for visiting all the sights in Rome and the staff were all friendly and helpful.   What did I not like!!! This boutique hotel was amazing. I am definitely much more accustomed to the big fancy American chains (Marriott, Hilton etc.) but this place was perfect. Our room was incredibly large for European standards with a table and chairs and a sofa which was used and an extremely comfortable 3rd bed.   A chauffeur service from the airport was a welcome additional service. The apartment was opened for us on arrival. This has not been the case at other apartments I have stayed at in Europe. Our host provided a helpful introduction to the apartment and the local neighbourhood. It is in a great location. It is an easy walk to metro stations and the ... vad folk säger » sites of Ancient Rome. A washing machine was a welcome addition after travelling for a couple of weeks. We didn't need a clothes dryer, because the we - friendly welcome service (our plane arrived late, and we arrived at the apartment past midnight - no complaint, no extra charges). We broke a lamp, but it was no problem at all. "Viminale" is an excellent location (also friendly and helpful neighbors - not seedy at all, as somebody wrote). Many sights within a short walking distance (colloseo, foro Romano, etc.). Nearby Metro gets you quickly and cheaply (1.50 euro for age 12 and up) to Vatican city.

  Location is just perfect. We have never used public transport. Everything is within walking distance. Next door restaurant (stair down) is marvelous. Highly recommended. We had a room with own separate bathroom. First impression was very confusing, however by the end of the fisrt day we used to our room and outside facilities. Wi-Fi was - Marco was fantastic, very helpful and very welcoming. He helped us book tickets to the Vatican & allowed us to keep our room late as we had an evening flight. He is so friendly and willing to help in any way he can. The room was huge & well equipped. Toiletries were offered, free WiFi, hairdryer, fridge, A/C. It was very laid back and you could come and go when you pleased - more like you had your own apartment. The location was excellent too. Would definately stay there again.
