  Location !!!! At the arrival not so sure about this place. Once we met the owner (Manuela) it became "the peaceful oasis". Food/advice/information = ONLY the best from Manuela!   At first-extremely friendly, hospital and helpful staff and both of them spoke excellent English. Great location-in the very centre of Catania, not far from Duomo and very close to via Etnea-street of shopping. Hotel located in very nice historic building. I would recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to visit Catania and feel real hospitality of - The location is great. The rooms are value for money but are basic in terms of comfort. They are cleaned every day, the towels are changed daily as well. The kettle and tea, coffee, sugar are available for common use in the corridor. The chambermaid found and returned to us the clothes left behind in a hurry. Many thanks to her!!!!!! There is some noise from the nearby cafes but we didn't mind it))

  The place is very close to everything, very big room and bathroom, staff was speaking English and was kind. We stayed for 2 nights so I think I would recommend it for a shorter stay.   I was looking for the hotel that should be inexpensive yet close to the city center, clean and comfortable. The Valentino hotel was just what we needed.   It is a safe and clean hotel in the mist of a busy city. - Very helpful staff available 24 hours. Very quiet given position of our room overlooking a main road. Very safe and secure. Many hotels in same price bracket probably wouldn't compete.
