  I have known this 'hotel' for some 25 years. First it was a "locanda"; something lower than a hotel. I had not been there for a decade or more and this time found it had upgraded itself to a 'hotel,' level 3 in the Italian style of rating. I did not notice any appreciable difference with its earlier facilities. There were many cafés and restaurants right at the corner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room( and everything) was very clean and comfortable. We loved the Italian decor of the hotel, but the furniture of the rooms was really essential.

  We were delighted to spend three nights at this small hotel. We were treated as welcome house guests. Both Clara and Samuela were charming and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Our room Mimosa was lovely and bright facing the street with a very comfortable large bed. We had a good bathroom with an excellent walk in shower, constant hot ... vad folk säger » water. We thought it was nearer to the town centre than had been indicated. it didn't take us long at all to get any of the attractions. Clara and Sam - Within 30 minutes of arriving, we were given breakfast and coffee and were taken thoroughly through all that Florence can offer. Not only did they take us through it, they organised the tours for us. Breakfast was fantastic, especially in the variety and quality of the foods. Probably one of the better breakfasts offered for a room of this rate. The room (Rosso Rosa) was very clean and had ample space. Well decorated. Also, staff are very attentive. The breakfast was good with anassortment of espresso options. They had an English speaking staffmember available at all times and all of the front desk staff waspersonable.
