  Location !!!! At the arrival not so sure about this place. Once we met the owner (Manuela) it became "the peaceful oasis". Food/advice/information = ONLY the best from Manuela!   excellent location, near 2 main squares. at the Duomo square you can find 2 types of touristic buses - the standard citysightseeing and the other one cheaper 5 euro (1hour trip without stop). you also can find all main streets having begin at the square Duomo. the landlord is a very friendly woman, she helped me to book an excursion to Etna (must ... vad folk säger » see! half day was enough for mee; "without jeep" is not very tiring). the breakfast is served in a cafe neighbour to the appartment (croissant\briosh - This BB has a central location [2 min from Piazza Duomo], really close to public transportation [Piazza Alcala] and via Etnea [wich is one of the main streets in Catania]. The BB is clean and comfy. The owners, Giovanni and his mother [who lives next door] are nice people. The palazzo in which the BB is located it's a bit noisy, but this is Sicilly. Overall, I was pleased with the place and I recomend it.

  The accommodation is very new, large and clean with excellent facilities. What made this place special were the hosts Giovanni and his wife. They were so extremely helpful and arranged a trip to etna for myself and my wife along with finding out about all the local transport.   At first-extremely friendly, hospital and helpful staff and both of them spoke excellent English. Great location-in the very centre of Catania, not far from Duomo and very close to via Etnea-street of shopping. Hotel located in very nice historic building. I would recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to visit Catania and feel real hospitality of - The location is great. The rooms are value for money but are basic in terms of comfort. They are cleaned every day, the towels are changed daily as well. The kettle and tea, coffee, sugar are available for common use in the corridor. The chambermaid found and returned to us the clothes left behind in a hurry. Many thanks to her!!!!!! There is some noise from the nearby cafes but we didn't mind it))

  The B&B was our base for two night while we got to know Catania. Valentina was a gracious host and provided an excellent breakfast with homemade biscuits and cakes. The room was off a small courtyard in a gracious old building. We had two rooms plus bathroom, so was very spacious. You can have a very relaxing time there by reading a book or surfing the web or having breakfast. The room I got was big enough to have a chaise longue and a small round table for relaxing also inside. There was a small fridge. The breakfast is very good, italian-style.

  First impressions don't always count! Yes, the building that this B&B is housed in is a bit run down looking from the outside, but aren't most in Sicily's old towns? The B&B has been beautifully refurbished to the highest of standards. If you get to the Castle (Castello) you are basically there, don't go around in circles like we did - This is a great place to stay. Located in a down at heel piazza close to the fish market and adjacent to the railway line, first impressions aren't encouraging. Inside, however, the accommodation is truly excellent. Recently refurbished throughout, the style is contemporary but homely. Exceptionally comfortable and clean with efficient air conditioning, large bathrooms/showers, good storage space and excellent breakfast.   One of the most wonderful stays my partner and I have EVER had!! Massimiliano is awesome, lovely, hospitable and nothing too much. I even got a little unwell during our stay and he helped with some medication. Breakfast was fresh and local produce daily, brilliant spread. Room presentation was fab....spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. ... vad folk säger » We had the best view of the Duomo and was so centrally located to the shops, local sights and markets! Parking was close to the hotel and getting in - The place is great!!! It is exactly in the city center (5 meters from the Fontana dell’ Elefante). Although it is in a city center, it is very quiet and peaceful place! The owner, Massimiliano is just WOW. He was very kind and ready to do everything for his quests to enjoy the stay in Al Duomo Inn and in Catania. We will certainly come again to this B&B! We used our stay in Catania to visit Syracuse, Etna and Taormina! All of these places are amazing! A small tip for those traveling by car
