  This is an exceptional family owned & operated hotel, easily accessible by train from Milan.. The family & staff take great pride in this resort which is right on Lake Como. Very clean, tastefully decorated room, and a gorgeous dining room overlooking the lake. Very helpful personal attention from the staff about how best to enjoy the area... vad folk säger » in our 3 day stay. - Wonderful location in Bellano (which is usually a quiet village) right on the lakeside. Our room opened onto a balcony that had the lake lapping right underneath it. Great dining room with big picture windows onto lake. Breakfast was really good with eggs cooked to order by the owner!

  Eager to get out of Milan and see what all the fuss about Lake Como was about, we luckily picked Villa Anita in the lakeside town of Bellano. As the hour-long local train made it's way from the Milan station, I felt release as we got farther away from the hustle. By the time the train emerged from the tunnel under one of the mountains bordering ... vad folk säger » Lake Como, I could see that we had left the city behind, and behold: Lake Como, snow-capped mountains, and a great place to take it all in at Villa An - The guest house is situated approximately 5min walk from the Bellano. We had a car and thought it was an excellent base with fantastic views from our lake side room. Anita who owns and runs the guest house goes out of her way to accommodate you. Breakfast was good with freh bread every morning and many other options. The guest house is a lovely house with a fireplace and large terrace to enjoy summer and winter.
