  This hotel was awesome. We were to have stayed 2 days and stayed 5. Beautiful view of Lake Maggiorie from room. Breakfast was awesome. Fresh fruit from the garden to include fragolina grapes and figs. Had a wonderful relaxing time. Used hotel as base for visiting Stresa, Orto, various other towns.....can even use it as a base for going into Switze... vad folk säger » rland....Ascona. Staff very kind. I explained I hurt my ankle and needed a room with a tub to soak it and there was no problem. Extremely clean!!! Wil - The hotel, which is clean, modern, comfortable and well-equipped, is about 4km from Stresa with a magnificent view over Lake Maggiore. The hotel staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay there in relaxing and peaceful surroundings.

  The staff were the nicest people we met on our trip. So helpful and attentive and even helped us rent a private boat. Great location right on the lake and close to Stresa. You must visit Isola Bella a few miles down and eat at the German restaurant. - Great Location, very close to Stresa.Lovely Lago Maggiore views all around .   If you want to go back to the world of the 1950s, family run hotel with quaint charm and fair value, this is the place. I have been coming to Ispra for years - there is not much choice or comfort in other hotels, but it is the retro feel that I love here.   The Hotel is on the lake and offers priceless lake views. The large restaurant terrace offered a 5 star experience. sitting on the balcony felt like you were nearly floating on the lake. The staff went out of their way to make you comfortable and were extremely attentive. The rooms were very clean and very light. With the stay came include... vad folk säger » d a voucher to use an open air eternity swimming pool at the sister hotel Villa Carlotta. This alone was worth the fee we paid to stay at Hotel Milan - Convenient to stay there for a stop over (several times on our trips to Tosca/Lombardy/France Riviera etc.(4-5 times)). Near to Stresa without the "Stresa Prices"! Easy to get to with free parking. Hotel is direct on the Lake with lovely restaurant with no road between hotel & lake (rare in the area). Friendly staff/service.
